Noise Induced Hearing Loss is one of the most preventable occupational diseases. With regular screening and testing, deviances can be early identified and acted upon. A qualified Audiometrist must perform the hearing testing.
The FPD Audiometry testing course prepare the Audiometrist for the challenges of testing and screening.
The course complies with the SAQA unit standard: 252126 written for the performance of an audiometric screening test in the occupational setting. Successful completion will enable the candidate to register as an Audiometrist

3-day Interactive workshop with lectures and reflective exercises.
Portfolio of Evidence to be submitted.
Accredited according to the HPCSA CPD Guidelines for Health Professionals - for a total of 30 clinical points on Level 2.
To qualify for the certificate of competence, participants should fully attend the workshop Successfully complete the theoretical and practical assessment and successfully complete a Portfolio of Evidence.
