Certification

A Certificate of Attendance will be issued by FPD upon successful participation in the course, completion of assessments, and achievement of the required pass mark.

Venue: FPD Office Park

Assessment

Competency assessment is conducted within 8 weeks after training.

Participants are expected to independently complete 10 male circumcision procedures under supervision before competency is confirmed.

  2. Anatomy & Physiology: Male genitalia, relevant vascular structures.
  3. Surgical Technique – Dorsal Slit Method: Step-by-step guidance, instrument use, and procedural workflow.
  4. Client Screening and Eligibility: Pre-operative assessment and contraindications.
  5. Infection Prevention & Control: Sterilisation techniques, PPE, and aseptic practice.
  6. Post-Operative Care: Wound Care instructions, healing stages, and client counselling.
  7. Adverse Events Identification and Management: Bleeding, infection, pain, and emergency protocols.
  8. Documentation & Reporting: Accurate record keeping and adverse event reporting procedures.
