FPD is proud to announce that they have trained over 300 000 students since their establishement in 1997. This milestone was reached in May 2015 on the Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation short course customised for the Office of the Premier based in Pretoria, Gauteng. Ms M E Mbambo attended this course as our 300 000th student. FPD’s approach with all its programmes is to combine excellent theory and personal experience. Students are able to contextualise key concepts and apply these in the workplace. FPD ensures quality of faciliting is always of the highest standard as excellence is the underlying value in all learning and teaching programmes at FPD.
The former President, Mr Nelson Mandela once said: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. In 1998, the first year of training, FPD had a total of 72 students therefore reaching our 300 000 student total is a true celebration not only to us as FPD but to all our partners, donors and funders and most importantly our students. We are proud to be able to continuously provide teaching and learning to those who need it, empowering those who want to go out and change the world.
FPD has experience in working in all provinces in South Africa as well as in 16 countries in Africa. We specialise in customised programmes to meet our clients’ individual needs. We are a cause driven organisation and continuously strive to remove the barriers to education such as geographically, cost, disruption of service delivery and access to continuous learning.
FPD’s current portfolio boasts more than 150 unique training programmes through the School of Health Sciences, the Business School and the School of Education and through these schools we are able to offer formal registered qualifications, internationally certified short courses, business and clinical short courses, distance based clinical and business short courses, distance based education clinical courses, short courses for educators and various E-Learning courses.
We would like to thank each and every person involved in helping FPD reach this tremendous and celebratious milestone.
